Awesome Snacks was founded on 1 August 2003 focusing on manufacturing and distributing a
range of soft extruded snacks to the South African market. The Directors and founding members
of Awesome Snacks has several years of experience in the snacks industry, having held top
positions in a number of well known, highly regarded snack companies.

Awesome Snacks – core values are to supply customers with the highest, most consistent quality
products at exceptional value, and to lead the market with innovation to excite our customers.
We believe that it is important to give the market differentiated product offerings like “ No
added MSG” “ Tartrazine free” “Baked not Fried” and the use of exciting Brand Licences like
Superheroes, Spiderman and WWE Wrestling, and to crown it all we are the inventors of two
shapes and two flavours in one packet.

More recently Awesome Snacks ventured into the beverages and hard extrudes markets to offer
our existing customers even more value in the form of powdered drinks “Thirst Coolers” and a
range of “Naks”. The launch of these products has been very successful and has opened doors for
exports into Mauritius and Africa e.g. Angola, Zimbabwe, Zambia and Tanzania.

90% of our equipment has been manufactured by local South African companies as we believe
that a sound support for the local economy is essential to our corporate values. All our products
are produced according to world class quality standards.
